Coral Cove Cottages

Situated at Tiwi beach 20kms south of Mombasa Island on an exquisite stretch of beach, Coral Cove offers self catering cottages fully equipped. All you have to bring is your food and toiletries. Despite being next door to Twiga Lodge, which houses a busy overland camping site, there is an air of privacy and exclusivity about Coral Cove.

The cottages are well spaced and solidly built on 14 acres  of wooded land graced with a white sweep of private beach just at the bottom of the garden. Local fishermen and traders come daily to your verandah with their catch of fish, fresh fruit and vegetables, you will never have to leave your place in paradise.

Coral Cove is owned and run by Kerstin and Michael Handelman,
with Kerstin at the helm making herself helpfully available
yet politely unobtrusive. Shopping trips can also be arranged to the local shopping centre.

A real animal lover, she keeps quite a menagerie of pets, which adds to the homely and welcoming atmosphere.

The beach is superb, with huge coconut palms
and coral coves. For families with a mixed age range, there are several attractions further down the bay, catering for different tastes. Windsurfing facilities, diving schools, a swimming pool, a few restaurants, a couple of beach bars and lots of young people enjoying beach volleyball, etc. all within easy of your perfect Tiwi holiday.
